Parent Portal — Overview
The Parent Portal is UniMatrix built for the people supporting a learner. It lets a parent stay close to their child’s progress, encourage them, reward them, and keep real-money actions safe — without getting in the way of the learning itself.
What the Parent Portal is
Section titled “What the Parent Portal is”It’s a dedicated space where a parent can:
- See an honest picture of their child’s progress and report card
- Understand how their child learns, through Attune observations
- Send funded gifts that reward effort and pay for access
- Message their child and the wider family
- Approve sensitive actions for under-18 learners (like gift redemptions)
Creating a parent account
Section titled “Creating a parent account”When you sign up, you can create a parent account rather than a learner account. A parent account is oriented around supporting someone else’s learning rather than doing your own — so the experience centres on the report card, gifts, messages and approvals.
Linking to your child (ward) account
Section titled “Linking to your child (ward) account”To support a learner, you link your parent account to your child’s (your ward’s) account. Once linked, your child appears in your Parent Portal and you can see their progress and interact with them through the portal. The link is what connects your view to their learning.
What a parent can see and do
Section titled “What a parent can see and do”Inside the portal a linked parent can:
A parent can also add notes to their child’s Learning Profile, giving UniMatrix helpful context that improves how their child is taught.
