Connecting a Ward

Before a parent can see a child’s progress, send gifts, or approve redemptions, the two accounts have to be linked. Linking is built to be safe and consent-based: it’s started with the learner’s UniMatrix ID and the learner stays in control of who has access.

Every account has a unique UniMatrix ID, found in Settings. As the description there says: “Share this ID with parents or guardians to link accounts.” It’s the key that lets a guardian connect to the right learner — and nothing happens until the learner shares it and approves the connection.

  1. Get the learner’s UniMatrix ID

Ask your child to open Settings and share their UniMatrix ID with you (they can copy it with one tap).

  2. Connect the learner

In your Parent account, use Connect Learner and enter that UniMatrix ID to send a connection request to their account.

  3. Wait for them to grant access

The request now sits with the learner. You’re connected once they grant it (see below).

How the learner grants, declines or revokes access

Section titled “How the learner grants, declines or revokes access”

On the learner’s side, connection requests appear under Guardian Access in UniTrack:

  • Grant — approve the request. The guardian is now linked and shows as ”✓ Access granted”, able to view the learner’s session activity and progress.
  • Decline — reject the request (it shows as Declined).
  • Revoke — remove a guardian’s access at any time, even after granting it. Control stays with the learner.

There’s also a Guardian Access toggle in Settings that governs whether linked guardians can view session activity.
