Settings
Settings is where you control how UniMatrix looks, behaves, and adapts to you. It’s organised into tabs — here’s what each one does.
Appearance
Section titled “Appearance”Two groups of controls, plus one living companion:
- Theme — light, dark, or follow your system. Applies instantly and syncs across your devices.
- Aura & intensity — the ambient visual effect behind the app (Rain, Fire, HyperGlass and more) and how strong it plays. Auras stay per-device.
- Text size, reduce motion & language — chat text sizing, a motion-calming switch, and the interface + AI response languages. The interface ships in seven languages; the AI can reply in more than 140.
- Release UniFly — a live butterfly held in a bubble. Free it and it flies with you across the whole app; imprison it again any time. Included for everyone as a free trial.
Learning
Section titled “Learning”Voice, learning levels and the country curriculum your tutor teaches to. The country setting controls what’s taught; language controls the language it’s taught in.
Personalisation
Section titled “Personalisation”The heart of how UniMatrix adapts to you:
- Preferred name — how the tutor addresses you, everywhere.
- Tutor personas — per-mode teaching styles and custom instructions for Chat, UniLearn and UniSkills.
- Learning Profile and Attune — the personalised context and the adaptive intelligence layer. Both are toggles; nothing personalises without your say-so.
Account
Section titled “Account”Your name, email, profile photo, date-of-birth (age is asked in years only, once), your public UniMatrix ID (UM-XXXXXXXX, used for guardian linking — maskable and copyable), your account role, and Enable Guardian Access if you also supervise a learner. Data controls — archive, export, and account deletion — live here too.
Credits
Section titled “Credits”Your live credit balance, what each action costs, and when your allowance resets — daily on Free, monthly on paid plans.
Organisation
Section titled “Organisation”Only present if you hold a seat in a school, coaching centre or team. Shows the organisation’s plan, the shared credit pool, seats used, the roster and any outstanding invitations. Owners and admins invite, revoke and change roles here; any member can leave the organisation from this tab. See Schools & organisations.
Connectors
Section titled “Connectors”Link GitHub, Google Drive and Google Calendar (Gmail is built but not yet enabled). Connections only complete after you review and press Accept & Connect, and you can disconnect any time. See Connectors.
Billing
Section titled “Billing”Your current plan, your payment history, and upgrades or downgrades. Two controls worth knowing:
- Auto-renew — whether your saved card may be charged when the plan expires. The switch only appears when a card is on file, and is on by default for those accounts.
- Saved cards — the card kept for renewals and one-click upgrades, shown by its last four digits and removable at any time.

Privacy
Section titled “Privacy”Four switches, all yours:
- Chat history — whether conversations are stored.
- Guardian access — whether a linked parent/guardian can view your UniTrack progress. Linked guardians are approved, and revocable, here.
- Analytics — anonymous usage analytics; switching it off stops collection immediately.
- Product updates & tips — the occasional email you opted into (or out of) during onboarding. Opt out any time.
- Report an issue / Request a feature — one form with a toggle for either, an optional screenshot attachment for issues, and an optional include-my-email switch so we can follow up. Reports go straight to the team.
